"In a recent development that could challenge Boeing and Airbus for regional dominance, two Chinese state aircraft manufacturers have merged to form one aviation company. The move was done for faster growth, and to get an eventual stock market listing. The Chinese Aviation Industry Corporation aims to attain a 22.3 percent annual sales growth by 2017. The company is controlled by Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation, along with 20 other listed firms in China. Last weekend, the Chinese Aviation Industry merged AVIC I and AVIC II, which have 10 business units, including defense, helicopters, and aircrafts." La suite.
